An Icy Wind

On Cemetery Ridge I’m a standin’
In the shade of the Witness Tree
Feelin’ the horror of the past
Repeatin’ itself once more
Fifty thousand voices a callin’
Callin’ from blood-soaked soil
Fearin’ their sacrifice a waste
Sensing what’s in store
There’s an icy wind a blowin’
Hard across the land
Creepin’ in between the cracks
Rattlin’ the old back door
The troops they are a gatherin’
Takin’ up their signs
Armed with righteous fury
Into the streets they pour
A fierce storm is a brewin’
Deep into the night
If you listen closely
You can clearly hear the roar
A reckoning is a comin’
The oppressed are on the rise
In numbers unlike any
The world has seen before
With great faith we’re a fightin’
A battle for what’s right
The day has come for once again
Evening the score
There’s an icy wind a blowin’
Hard across the land
As one more time we face the chance
Of all out civil war
